Experts from the same agency state that by 2025, this number is expected to practically double to $613 billion.

Sensor Tower studies show that in 2021, in-app purchases in all app stores reached over $130 billion. If we compare it to 2020, with $111.1 billion spent, this number represents 19.7% year-over-year growth. The same study shows that users spend almost $85 billion on Apple’s platform, which is 17.7% higher than in 2020.

What’s more, it is around 1.8 times higher than on Google Play Store. And when it comes to the latter, it takes the position of the market leader in user downloads.
